Kendra's journey began in 2019 when she and her husband decided to try for a pregnancy. After experiencing irregular periods and visiting her doctor, Kendra learned she had low progesterone and high estrogen dominance. This led her to research hormonal imbalances and make lifestyle changes to address her condition.

After 16 months of trying, Kendra became pregnant. However, the pregnancy was painful from the start, and she experienced spotting. Despite her concerns, her doctor seemed dismissive. At around eight weeks, Kendra suffered a miscarriage, which was a traumatic experience compounded by insensitive medical care.

PCOS Diagnosis and Advocacy:

Following her miscarriage, Kendra changed doctors and received a PCOS diagnosis. This revelation helped explain her symptoms and increased risk of miscarriage. Kendra emphasizes the importance of early PCOS awareness and management, as it can lead to better overall health and potentially reduce the risk of pregnancy complications.

Navigating Relationships After Loss:

Kendra discusses how the loss affected her marriage and family. She and her husband grieved differently but ultimately grew closer through the experience. She also shares the challenges of returning to work in the beauty industry, where casual questions about children became painful reminders of her loss.

Hope and a New Beginning:

With the support of a new doctor and fertility treatments, Kendra successfully conceived again. She stresses the importance of emotional healing before trying to conceive and the different mindset that comes with pregnancy after loss.

Advice for Others:

Kendra encourages women not to face these challenges alone. She emphasizes the value of seeking support from coaches or others who have been through similar experiences. She reminds those struggling that their journey is unique and that it's not their fault if relationships change due to this experience.

Kendra now has a son and continues to support others through her business, Bravely She Blooms Wellness. She offers coaching services and support for those dealing with PCOS and pregnancy loss.
